Russian oligarchs’ money got stuck in Krajbanka

Russian oligarchs suffered from the collapse of Snoras bank and Latvijas Krajbanka. Vedomosti newspaper found some of Vladimir Antonov’s banks customers.
So, Krajbanka maintains current accounts of a number of associates of Suleiman Kerimov’s Nafta-Moscow, said its representative to the publication. Amounts stuck in Latvia are significant, but not critical, said the source.

Nafta-Moscow representative also reported that the group companies are not Krajbanka borrowers.
Meanwhile, the companys lawyers hope to return the funds.
The publication also notes that Snoras group customers include one of Sergei Polonskiy’s companies. The representative of Potok Bezkonechnosti (the current name of Polonskiy’s company) confirmed that the company has a loan provided by Snoras maturing in 2017.

According to Fitch analyst Vladimir Markelov, Krajbanka accounts of Russian customers may have USD 216 million.
